The closest cruise line to the GCC — Red Sea round trips from Jeddah and a Mediterranean season from Istanbul, a short hop from every Gulf hub

AROYA is Saudi Arabia's homegrown cruise line — a single 335-metre ship sailing the Red Sea from Jeddah and the Mediterranean from Istanbul, with a distinctly Arabian welcome built in from the start.

AROYA Cruises, owned by Cruise Saudi (Public Investment Fund), operates one ship — simply 'Aroya' — carrying up to 3,362 guests across 18 decks. Its Red Sea season, branded 'Red Coral Secrets,' runs September to May from Jeddah, calling at ports across Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan; the ship repositions each summer to Istanbul for a Mediterranean season via the Suez Canal. Onboard, the line is built around family and faith-conscious features: a nursery, a large Kid Zone and water park, women-only pool/spa/gym hours, separate prayer rooms and shisha lounges.

AROYA is the closest thing the region has to a home-market cruise line — Saudi-owned, and sailing the Red Sea from Jeddah plus a Mediterranean season from Istanbul, both a short flight from any GCC city. As Preferred Sales Agent we carry direct fares and cabin holds across both seasons, and we will tell you first as new departure ports are released.

Frequently asked questions

Where does AROYA sail from?

Jeddah for the Red Sea and Istanbul for the Mediterranean — the two home ports on sale. Jeddah is a short direct hop from every GCC city, which makes AROYA the closest cruise product to this market: Red Sea round trips of two to eight nights calling Sharm El Sheikh, Aqaba, Yanbu and Jabal Al-Sabaya, plus a summer Mediterranean season from Istanbul.

What documents do clients need for a Jeddah round trip?

For round-trip Red Sea sailings that start and end in Jeddah with no international port calls, a KSA National ID or Iqama is sufficient. A passport is required for itineraries with international calls, and residents should ensure any exit/re-entry visas are valid.

Is AROYA suitable for families?

Yes — the ship has a dedicated nursery for ages 6–24 months, a large Kid Zone and water park, and a Premier Family Suite category.

Are there women-only facilities onboard?

Yes — exclusive pool, spa and gym hours for women are offered (published hours vary by itinerary), alongside separate male and female prayer rooms.

Does AROYA support AED bookings?

Yes — the booking engine's currency selector includes AED alongside SAR, USD, EUR and GBP.

How big is the ship?

335 metres long, 18 decks, 1,678 cabins, with a maximum capacity of 3,362 guests and over 1,600 crew.
