About Enaidura Camp
Enaidura means “migration” in the Maa language. It’s the perfect name for our camp, which is perfectly positioned in the Masai Mara ecosystem to experience the Great Migration as it moves into the region from July through October, and always be in an extraordinary wildlife location at any time of year.
The camp has been tailored to serve as the favored base for Kenya’s best freelance guides, true legends of the safari world. This model gives us rightful claim to having the best-guided safaris in the Mara, while further empowering the success of the local entrepreneurial guides.
Set in the heart of the Maasai Mara, Enaidura is a luxury six-tent camp positioned close to several river crossing points used by the Great Migration wildebeest herds. Enaidura is co-owned by two of Kenya’s top guides, both highly skilled at finding their own wildlife sightings and avoiding the crowds.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve in south-west Kenya is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world – mostly for its prolific big cats and the dramatic Great Migration river crossings undertaken by around 1.5 million wildebeest between June and October. As such, the reserve has become very busy. But Enaidura’s guides pride themselves on avoiding the crowds and finding their own wildlife sightings. The camp is right in the middle of the reserve, set along the Talek River near the Mara River confluence. It’s about a kilometre from one major wildebeest crossing point and no more than 30 minutes from other well-used river crossings.
